Set up a printer, scanner and cash drawer for the POS

💎 To correctly use this functionality you will have to activate the Paid Gem Point of Sale, available at Holded Store , in addition to downloading the Holded POS app for tablets iOS or Android .

How to set up a printer

For the app to recognize your printer, you'll need to first connect it to your device and configure your Bluetooth or Wi-Fi settings. Please note that the app only currently works with Star Micronics brand printers.

  1. Access the sidebar by clicking the three-line menu (☰)

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Select Add Printer

  4. Click on Search for devices

  5. Grant the permissions to enable Bluetooth

  6. If a compatible printer is found, it will appear in the device list

  7. Select the printer

  8. Specifies the size of paper

  9. Save changes

Click Test Print to check that the connection is working correctly

How to set up a barcode scanner

The app is compatible with most barcode scanners that can be connected via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or a cable. For the app to recognize it, you must first connect it to the device and configure the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi settings.

How to set up a cash drawer

Although a cash drawer cannot be connected directly to the application, you can, however, connect it to your printer using a special type of cable ( RJ11 or RJ12 ) so that the opening of the drawer is activated , each time a receipt is printed.
