You can enable a gateway as a payment method in the Customer Portal, allowing your customers to make payments directly from there, even if the gateway is not connected to Holded.

This way, your customers will be able to:

  • Pay with PayPal: through their account.

  • Charge via that gateway or card: in which case the payment will be made via Stripe or Square.

To activate a payment gateway, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Contacts, from the sidebar.

  2. Find the contact in the list and click on its name.

  3. In the contact's panel, select the More button on the right.

  4. Go to the Customer Portal section.

  5. Activate the desired payment methods (PayPal, Stripe or Square) using the selectors.

☝🏼 You can only activate one payment method at a time per customer.

If you also have accounts set up in the Treasury section, you can link them to the payment methods you use. This ensures that payments are automatically recorded in the corresponding bank account, facilitating reconciliation and bookkeeping.
