If the tax you need is not found within the predefined taxes, it is possible to create a new tax and add it to a group. However, if you do this, please note that the taxes created will not appear automatically in the tax forms.

It is therefore advisable to consult and use the predefined taxes before creating a tax. This way you will avoid duplicating information and take advantage of the automation offered by Holded.

The first thing you need to know when creating a tax is that you can link it to a percentage or a group. The latter option will allow you to select other taxes and apply them to the same invoice.

Below you will find detailed steps to create a tax, depending on whether you want to link a percentage or a group. In case you want to associate the tax to a percentage, you have to:

  1. Go to the Menu and click on Configuration.

  2. Click on Taxes in the Invoicing section.

  3. Click on New tax.

  4. Name the tax in a way that helps you to identify it.

  5. Enter a key, i.e. the alphanumeric code to identify the tax.
