1. Accessing the demo account
To access it, follow these steps:
Click on your account in the upper left corner.
At the bottom, click Change account > Access demo account.
The interface will change color, and you will see information at the top indicating that you are in a test environment.
Any user with access to the main account can create and access the demo account; it is not exclusive to the owner.
All active users from your main account are automatically replicated in the demo when it is created. In this environment, all users are given administrator permissions, regardless of their role in the real account.
If you create new users within the demo, they will only be created in the demo and will not be replicated in the real account.
What can and can't you do in the demo account?
Within the demo account, you can:
Create documents (invoices, quotes, etc.) with a watermark (these are not legally valid).
Create documents in draft mode without mandatory validations. (Please note that these draft documents are not visible in the Customer Portal).
Try out modules and features at no cost.
Access the API under the same limitations as the interface.
Reset the demo account along with all its data to start again with a completely clean environment.
Use sample data (seed data) with fictitious invoices, products, and contacts to practice or simulate operations.
However, from the demo:
You will not be able to send real emails or sign up for plans (emails can only be sent to users of the demo account itself).
Some services (such as Verifactu or external integrations such as Stripe, Shopify, Square, etc.) are disabled.
2. Resetting the demo account
If you want to start from scratch, you can generate a completely new demo:
Access the demo account.
Go to Menu > Settings > Account > Account Settings.
Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Demo Account.
Confirm the action.
This will delete all current data and automatically create a new demo. Your real account will not be affected.
3. Exit the demo and return to your real account
When you have finished testing, you can easily return to your main account:
The interface will return to its usual color, and your real data will be intact.
