You can activate PayPal, Stripe or Square as payment methods in the Holded Customer Portal, allowing your customers to pay their invoices quickly and easily.

With this option, your customers will be able to:

  • Pay using their PayPal account, and you will receive the payment directly into your PayPal account.

  • Pay by credit card, and you will receive the money in your Stripe or Square account.

To activate one of these payment methods, follow these steps:

☝🏼 Make sure you have a Stripe, PayPal, or Square account. You will need these accounts to enable online payment methods.

  1. Under “Online payment methods”, click Connect to the right of the payment method you want to enable.

☝🏼 If this is the first time you activate this integration, the payment method gem will be automatically enabled in the Holded Store.

  2. Once connected, go to Contacts, from the sidebar.

  3. Find the contact you want to activate the payment method and click on their name.

  4. In the contact panel, select the More button (on the right side).

  5. Go to the “Portal” section, and activate the desired payment method (PayPal, Stripe or Square) using the selectors.

☝🏼 You can only activate one payment method per customer.

  6. Repeat the process for each customer you want to enable payment for in the Customer Portal.

If you have accounts set up in the Banks section, you can link them to your payment methods. This will allow payments to be automatically posted to the appropriate bank account, making reconciliation and bookkeeping easier.
