The summary of a project

In the Summary tab, you can view a summary of the content of the project you are currently working on. This is beneficial information to have an overview of the distribution of work among the employees, as well as of the pending and completed tasks:

  1. Go to Projects.

  2. Go to the corresponding project.

  3. Click on the “Summary” tab.

  4. Refer to the following widgets or sections to get an overview of what is happening with your projects and related tasks:

    • Tasks: from this widget you can check the number of tasks that are in the following statuses: To Do, Progress, Completed. By clicking on each of the statuses, you can directly access the associated tasks in the project.

    • Tasks by status: from here you can check the number of tasks that are in one of the following statuses: All, To do, New, Rejected, Duplicate, In progress, Done, Testing, Verified. If you click on these statuses, you can access the corresponding tasks.

    • Tasks per user: with this widget you can view the number of tasks assigned to each member. By clicking on each number, you will be directed to the corresponding tasks.

    • Categories: From here you can check the billable amount in each of the categories.

    • Hours entered this month: through this section, you can view the number of hours entered each day of the current month. You can consult and filter this number for your own tracking, as well as for the company in general.

    • Remaining budget and total to be invoiced: Information about the total amount of outstanding budgets and everything that has been invoiced in the project is displayed.

    • Documents: Quickly visualize the profitability of your project based on income, expenses and employee hours recorded.

    • Hours per user: In this widget you will be able to see the total hours registered by each employee. You will be able to filter by those pending and approved records. In addition, by displaying the name of each member, you will be able to see the specific time recorded for each task.

The type of view for your projects and tasks

Once you have created your project, you will need to choose the way you want to view the tasks you create.

☝🏼 Remember that you will only be able to adjust the view format in those projects that include the Board tab. Also, keep in mind that the number of display options available will depend on the template you selected when creating the project.

  1. Go to Projects.

  2. Enter the project in which you want to set the view type.

  3. Once inside the project, click on the “Board” (or “Kanban Board”) tab.

  4. Choose one of the view options supported by your project template. You will find them at the top right, right next to the filters:

    • Basic, Kanban or Tasks by status: this view is the most commonly used to be able to have a visual classification of the different customized stages of the project in column format. In addition to being able to drag tasks from one stage to another in an intuitive way.

    • List or Backlog: this format will allow you to have a classification in list format and to be able to hide the lists you are not working on.

    • Gantt Chart: the Gantt Chart is very useful to visually check the duration of each task within each list. You will be able to filter by months, weeks or days, and hide those lists in which you are not using the time control.

    • Sheets: this view is the most similar to working with a table in Excel. All the available fields per task will be displayed and you can hide the lists you are not working with.

    • By end date: displays the tasks generated by day, week or month. Access them directly from the calendar.

You can change the view format whenever you need to without changing or losing any information. We recommend that you choose the view that best suits your way of working at all times.
