Why don't WooCommerce products sync on Holded?

The main reason why products do not sync is a lack of SKUs. For both single products and variants, you need to have an assigned SKU for the sync to be successful.

Make sure you provide a SKU for all products in WooCommerce.

Another reason could be that the API Key used is not correct. Check and make sure you use the API Key corresponding to the Holded account you want to integrate with WooCommerce.

What kind of products can be synced with WooCommerce on Holded?

In Holded, we currently only support the synchronisation of simple products and products with variants. Unfortunately, it is not possible to synchronise batch, pack or serial number products.

Product synchronisation is done using the SKU. Therefore, it is essential that all products have the full SKU field in WooCommerce, both simple and variant products. If a user has products with variants, it is necessary to ensure that the main (generic) product has a SKU and each of its variants also has a SKU. Otherwise, it will not be possible to create or link products in Holded.

How do I manage products with batches, serial numbers, or packs in the WooCommerce integration?

In Holded, when you create a product that has lots, serial numbers or packs, these are handled as a second SKU of the generic product. However, WooCommerce does not offer the option to generate batches or serial numbers, so we only receive and link product information via the SKU provided by WooCommerce.

Because of this difference, when a batch or serial number is created and a second SKU is entered, the relationship and linkage between the two platforms is broken.

For example, if WooCommerce sends a price, cost or stock update request for SKU: SKU1234, Holded will not be able to determine whether it applies to "Batch 1" or "Batch 2", making the relationship impossible.

How do I manage product orders with batches or serial numbers in the WooCommerce integration?

To manage product orders with batches or sn in the WooCommerce integration, follow the steps outlined in this article.

What if I have single products in Holded and variant products in WooCommerce?

If you want to sync products between Holded and WooCommerce, it is important to note that the products must be created in the same way on both platforms. If you have simple products in Holded and variant products in WooCommerce, when you sync them, the simple products will remain as they are and the WooCommerce variant product will be added as a new product.

However, as the SKUs of the simple products match those of the variant products, there may be stock synchronisation issues when importing orders. It is advisable to ensure that products are set up correctly on both platforms to avoid any stock management issues.

If I delete a product in Holded, will it be automatically deleted in WooCommerce?

No, deleting a product on Holded will not affect its presence on WooCommerce. Similarly, if you delete a product in WooCommerce, it will not be automatically deleted in Holded either. You will need to manually delete the product on both platforms if you want to remove it completely.

If I delete a product SKU in Holded, will it also be deleted in WooCommerce?

No, the product integration only works from WooCommerce to Holded and so any changes made to your products in Holded will not be automatically reflected in WooCommerce.

Does the product cost sync from WooCommerce?

To synchronise the product cost field in Holded with WooCommerce, there are several plugins available; this is the one that is compatible with our platform and ensures proper cost synchronisation: Cost of Goods for WooCommerce.

If another plugin is used, the cost may not be synchronised correctly and we will not be able to provide support in that case.

How do I import my products from WooCommerce with the price broken down into subtotal + VAT?

The way a product's tax is imported depends on the option selected in the Calculate tax based on section of the tax settings in your WooCommerce account. Selecting Business Main Address will import a product's tax field.
