How is the linking and synchronization of products done?

Linking and synchronization is done via the SKU field. It is important that all products have a complete SKU field in Shopify, both single and variants. If you have products with variants, make sure that the parent product also has a SKU, as well as each of its variants. Without the full SKU, it will not be able to be created and linked in Holded.

Why are Shopify products not syncing in Holded?

There are two common cases that can cause sync issues:

  1. Missing SKU: If a product in Shopify does not have a SKU assigned to it, it will not sync to Holded. Make sure you provide a SKU for each product, both simple and variants, to allow for proper syncing.

  2. Multiple account connection: If you have the product sync option enabled in Holded but changes made in Shopify are not automatically reflected, it is possible that your Shopify shop is connected to more than one Holded account. If this is the case, please contact our support team and ask them to remove the additional connection.

If I delete a product in Holded, will it also be deleted in Shopify?

No, the product integration only works from Shopify to Holded, therefore any changes made to your products in Holded are not automatically reflected in Shopify.

Is the product cost synchronized from Shopify?

Yes, the product cost is synced from Shopify to Holded, following the guidelines below:

  1. If the products do not exist in Holded, they will be created in Holded along with their costs.

  2. If the products already exist in Holded, but do not have a cost specified, the cost will be added to those products.

  3. If the products already exist in Holded and have a specified cost (i.e. it is not 0), the cost information will NOT be updated.

  4. If you make changes to an existing product in fields other than cost (e.g. name), the information will be imported from Shopify to Holded, but the cost will not be updated.

In short, syncing the cost of products from Shopify to Holded happens when products are being created for the first time, or when the cost in Holded is empty. If the cost already has a value, it will not be synced and changes will not be updated.
