No, Holded is not a bank, and that is precisely one of its advantages. Holded Wallet offers users the security of an account backed by the French Deposit Guarantee Fund, which protects up to 100,000 euros per account holder.

This means that, although we are not a traditional bank, you can enjoy the functionalities of a payment account without having to deal with the bureaucracy and fees typically applied by banks.

How can I bring money into my Holded Wallet?

Bringing money to your Holded Wallet is a simple process. You can fund your Holded Wallet from your bank using SEPA transfers. Once you have created your Holded Wallet account, you will receive a unique Spanish IBAN that you can use to manage your account from Holded.

Simply make a transfer from your regular bank to this IBAN, and the money will be credited to your Holded Wallet account. This method allows you to keep your finances organized and centralized in a single platform, facilitating the management of your operations.

You can also receive international transfers or transfers in other currencies (even if they are not euros), provided they come from accounts within the SEPA zone. However, please note that these types of transfers may be subject to fees charged by Swan. You can find more details here.

Can I send transfers in other currencies from my Holded Wallet?

For now, it is only possible to receive transfers in other currencies, but not to send them. This feature will be available soon.

Is my money safe with Holded Wallet?

Yes, your funds are completely safe. Holded Wallet is designed to comply with all European regulations, which guarantees the protection of your data and your money. In addition, your funds are backed by the French Deposit Guarantee Fund, which insures up to 100,000 euros per holder. This means that, in case of any eventuality, your savings are protected, giving you the confidence to manage your finances without worry.

Can I have several Holded Wallet accounts in Holded?

For now, you can only have one active Holded Wallet account per Holded account. We are working to optimize the experience, and in the future we will consider offering the ability to manage multiple Holded Wallet accounts. If this is enabled, we will let you know in a timely manner so that you can enjoy greater flexibility in your financial transactions.

Can I open a Holded Wallet account if my company is based outside Spain?

No. Currently, it is only possible to open a Holded Wallet account for companies based in Spain. This option is not available even for Andorra.

What type of plan do I need to activate Holded Wallet?

The only requirement to activate Holded Wallet is to have an active paid plan. It is not possible to use Wallet during the free trial period.

Who has permission to operate the Holded Wallet account?

By default, the account holder (the person who opened the account) can operate Holded Wallet.

However, you can also invite other team members and assign them specific permissions to make transfers or manage access from the Manage Permissions section.

Members without active permissions can still view the account and reconcile transactions (if they have access to Treasury > Accounts), but they will not be able to operate with the funds, even if they have an administrator role in Holded.
