Can I set up direct debit payments for taxes from Holded Wallet?

Yes. As long as the Tax Agency (AEAT) or Social Security (TGSS) allows SEPA direct debit (CORE scheme), you can use your Holded Wallet IBAN without any issues.

  • You just need to provide your IBAN and authorize the charge.

  • The public institution itself will initiate the charge on your account—there’s nothing you need to do from Holded Wallet.

  • There’s no need to file any forms or make manual transfers.

  • The charge is processed like in any other SEPA-compatible bank account.

☝🏼 If you encounter an error when registering your Holded Wallet IBAN with the Spanish Tax Agency (Hacienda), select the "Foreign Account" option, even if the IBAN is Spanish. This is a temporary solution while the Tax Agency adapts its system.

Can I set up direct debit payments for bills such as water, electricity, or other services?

Yes. You can use your Holded Wallet account to set up direct debit payments just as you would with any normal bank account, provided that the company accepts SEPA direct debit payments.

Your IBAN is Spanish, so there should be no problem.

☝🏼 If a company rejects your account's IBAN, this is not a fault of Holded Wallet: it is IBAN discrimination, which is illegal.

In Europe, all SEPA accounts must be accepted for this type of payment, regardless of which country the IBAN comes from. You can file a complaint under Article 9 of the SEPA Regulation, which protects your right to use any European account for direct debit payments.

Can I set up a direct debit for my Holded subscription in my Wallet?

This is not possible at present, but we plan to enable this option in the near future.

Can I charge my clients via SEPA direct debit with Holded Wallet?

Not at the moment, but we are working on it. Soon you will be able to generate payment remittances directly from Holded Wallet. We will announce it as soon as it is available.

Can I collect payments for invoices or receipts directly from Holded Wallet?

At the moment, it is not possible to make automatic payments from the Customer Portal using Wallet, but we are working on integrating this option. When it is enabled, your customers will be able to pay invoices or receipts directly from the Portal, just as they already do with Stripe or PayPal.

Can I pay my taxes with a manual transfer from Holded Wallet?

No. Payments to the Tax Agency (AEAT) or Social Security (TGSS) are not processed as regular SEPA transfers. These institutions require specific formats that are not currently supported by Holded Wallet.

For example:

  • AEAT requires a special code (called NRC) that can only be generated by authorized partner banks.

  • TGSS also requires payments to go through collaborating banks or specific systems and doesn’t accept standard SEPA transfers.

If you try to send a transfer directly from Wallet to a Tax Agency account, it will most likely be rejected.

Can I pay multiple invoices at once with the instant transfer option?

No, this is not possible at the moment. Instant transfers can only be used when making a single payment. If you make a bulk payment (i.e., multiple invoices at once), the transfer will be standard and may take up to 48 hours. We are working on expanding this option in the future.

Is there a maximum number of bills that can be paid?

There is no limit. You can pay as many bills as you need to from Holded Wallet. Just make sure you have enough balance in your account.

Can I schedule a payment to be made on another day?

Not yet. For now, all payments are made as soon as you confirm them. But soon you will be able to schedule them for a future date, without having to keep track of them.

Do the invoices I pay together have to be from the same supplier?

No. You can select invoices from several different suppliers and pay them all together in a single action. Each transfer will be sent separately to each supplier's IBAN.
