Can I set up direct debit payments for taxes from Holded Wallet?
Yes. As long as the Tax Agency (AEAT) or Social Security (TGSS) allows SEPA direct debit (CORE scheme), you can use your Holded Wallet IBAN without any issues.
You just need to provide your IBAN and authorize the charge.
The public institution itself will initiate the charge on your account—there’s nothing you need to do from Holded Wallet.
There’s no need to file any forms or make manual transfers.
The charge is processed like in any other SEPA-compatible bank account.
Can I pay my taxes with a manual transfer from Holded Wallet?
No. Payments to the Tax Agency (AEAT) or Social Security (TGSS) are not processed as regular SEPA transfers. These institutions require specific formats that are not currently supported by Holded Wallet.
For example:
AEAT requires a special code (called NRC) that can only be generated by authorized partner banks.
TGSS also requires payments to go through collaborating banks or specific systems and doesn’t accept standard SEPA transfers.
If you try to send a transfer directly from Wallet to a Tax Agency account, it will most likely be rejected.
