Holded Wallet: balance alerts and rejected direct debit notifications

Set up a low balance alert and check the details of rejected direct debits in your Wallet account.

Written by Rubén

If you have active direct debits in Wallet and the account doesn't have enough balance, a €10 fee is applied for each failed attempt. The charge may be retried several times, so these fees can add up if you don't act in time.

Set the minimum balance threshold

  1. Go to Holded Wallet.

  2. Click the three dots.

  3. Select Low balance alert.

  4. Set the minimum balance amount.

  5. Save the changes.

When the account balance falls below that limit, you'll receive an email alert and a push notification. The alert is sent to the account holder and to Wallet members with management permissions.

Card limit about to run out alert

From the Holded mobile app, when a card is close to its limit, the cardholder automatically receives a notification in the app's notification center. This helps avoid unexpected declined payments and reduces urgent requests to the legal representative.

Check the rejected direct debit notice

When a direct debit is rejected, you'll automatically receive an email and a notification in Holded with the reason for the rejection and the amount of the fee applied.

In the details of the rejected direct debit fee, you'll see the option View rejected transaction. This option shows the original transaction that was attempted and that generated the fee.

You can also check upcoming fees generated by rejected direct debits. From your Wallet, filter by Status > Upcoming:

You can click the transaction to see the reason for the rejection:

Rejected payment notice

The rejected payment notice informs you that a customer tried to pay you and the payment wasn't completed. The rejected direct debit notice is different: it alerts you to a charge to your Wallet account that couldn't be paid.

📚 Learn more about the rejected payment notice in Manage notifications from the Holded app.

Check your Wallet account terms

  1. Go to Holded Wallet.

  2. Click the three dots.

  3. Select View terms.

You'll access the document with your Wallet account terms, so you can check them at any time.
