In order to start working with Holded, one of the first things you should do is register your contacts, since these are essential to create both sales and expense documents.

This section is also where you can customize the Customer Portal , where your contacts can check the business history they share with you, as well as pay their bills.

Types of contacts and ledger accounts

The type of contact will determine the ledger account that is assigned in each case.

    are linked to this type

  • Supplier
Belongs to the ledger account of the 40-Suppliers group

  • Opportunity
This type of contact is used for customers who have registered from the CRM, that is, potential customers who could become permanent

  • Debtor
As soon as the first document is generated in your name, the assigned ledger account will be from group 44-Other debtors

  • Creditor
The generated ledger account will be included in the group 41-Customers

Customer Portal

Contacts with access to the Client Portal will be able to consult the commercial that you share with them, leave comments , and download your sales and purchase documents: budgets, invoices, waybills, proformas, sales and purchase orders.

Also, if you have integrated PayPal, Stripe or Square , they may have the option of being able to pay through the portal .

Finally, in case you have the Catalog gem enabled, this is where they will see the items for sale that you want to share with them.
