Create and manage custom fields

Include extra details and get a better organization of your contact directory and CRM.

Custom fields are used to add additional information to better classify your contact list. They can be used as filters , and their information can be imported and exported from each of your contacts.

Create predefined custom fields

  1. In Name , include a short title to identify the field

  2. The Key field does not need to be modified as it is auto-completed

  3. In the Type field, select one of the options detailed below

  4. In the Scope field, choose the type of contact this field will be used for, such as Contacts in general, or more specifically : Person , Company , Customer , Supplier , Opportunity

  5. Click Create

The following types of custom fields exist:

  • Text field
    Open field where only text and numbers can be entered

  • Number
    Used to enter numbers and classify contacts

  • Date

    Used to record any type of date in the contact

  • Selection

    This field generates a list of options so you can choose one

  • Radio

    This is a multi-option field with a different format

  • Checkbox:

    Allows you to select various options from those available

Assign custom fields to a contact

  1. Go to Contacts to access the list

  2. Select the contact you want to assign the custom field to

  3. In the side panel, tap the contact's name or click More

  4. In the left menu, click the button Add custom fields

  5. In the pop-up window, in the Assign predefined custom fields section, select the field you want to include in the contact

  6. Enter a value for the added field

  7. Press Save

In this same window you can also add specific custom fields for this specific contact.

Update data in custom fields

  1. Go to Contacts to access the list

  2. Select the contact you want to assign the custom field to

  3. In the side panel, tap the contact's name or click More

  4. In the Custom Fields section, click Edit

  5. Modify the necessary information and click Save

Edit and delete custom fields

  1. Select the one you want to modify or delete

  2. Change the necessary data

  3. Press Save or click Delete as needed
