To facilitate the registration process and avoid unintentional errors, in Holded, every time you generate an entry on a sales invoice, it will be automatically associated to the accounting account of Customers (No. 400) and to the account of Sales of Goods (No. 700).

But, in case this account assignment is not convenient for you, you can redefine it. For example, you can create new sales accounts and organise them according to what you want to observe in the Objectives section of the Analytical section.

Remember that according to the General Chart of Accounts (PGC), when recording a journal entry on a sales invoice, the movement must be linked to a customer account and a sales account.

To create a sales accounting account, you have to:

  1. In the navigation bar, click on Analytical, first, and then Objectives .

  2. Click on the Add (+) button in the top right corner and select New sales account.

  3. Select the account type and enter the name to identify the account. If you want, you can also choose a colour to personalise the account.

  4. Click on Create.

After creating the account, you will always be able to edit the name, even if an accounting transaction has already been recorded. The number, on the other hand, will remain unchanged after the first movement has been associated with it.

To archive a sales accounting account, you have to:

  1. Access Objectives.

  2. Click on Sales in the Accounts panel.

  3. Click on the account you want to archive.

  4. Click on archive.

  5. Confirm the action.
