What happens if I have two countries that use the same tax?

Differentiating VAT between each country is only possible for Premium accounts. If you have two countries with the same tax (e.g. 20%), follow these steps:

  1. Create a generic tax called "20% VAT".

  2. Activate the Create contact option in the WooCommerce settings in Holded to synchronise the country information on the issued invoices.

  3. Import the orders and check the report in Holded to differentiate by country and tax.

Also, to correctly sync tax on products, be sure to select Business Primary Address in the WooCommerce > Tax settings:

How to reflect WooCommerce prices as 'Total' or 'Subtotal + VAT' in Holded?

To reflect the total price in Holded, follow these steps:

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Taxes.

  2. Check that the prices are displayed with or without tax included:

If you choose the option without tax, the price in Holded will be displayed as Subtotal and the corresponding VAT will be automatically added.

Why does my Holded invoice differ by one cent from my WooCommerce order?

This is due to the decimal rounding system used by both platforms. However, you can solve this problem by following these steps:

  1. Go to Holded > Settings > Integrations > WooCommerce.

  2. Access the advanced settings.

  3. Enable the Automatic Tax Adjustment option.

By enabling this feature, Holded will apply tax correction lines on invoices to make sure the total matches between both platforms, regardless of different rounding systems. This will allow you to maintain accuracy in your records and avoid one cent discrepancies.

Remember to save your changes after making these settings.

If the tax field comes empty from WooCommerce, how can I apply a default tax automatically?

To automatically apply a default tax when the tax field is empty from WooCommerce, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the advanced settings section of your shop in Holded.

  2. Find the Default tax option and select the tax you want to apply in case the tax field in WooCommerce is empty or has a value of 0%.

Holded will automatically apply that tax when necessary, providing consistency in your tax records, even when the tax information is not complete in WooCommerce.
