Holded Wallet is a payment account integrated directly into the platform. Although it is not a traditional bank account, it offers much more than a conventional account. With Wallet you can send and receive money, but also perform exclusive actions, such as paying bills and automatically reconcile your financial movements. All from a single place and without relying on external banks, simplifying the management of your business like never before.
With Holded Wallet, every payment and collection is automatically recorded, helping you to keep track of your transactions in real time and facilitating the reconciliation of your invoices. The account includes a Spanish IBAN and has no hidden fees, allowing you to manage your finances transparently and without surprises.
Activation is quick and easy: within a maximum of 72 hours and after a short set-up process, your account is ready to trade. The entire process is supported by Swan, our licensed e-money provider that manages the funds in your account according to European regulations. Thanks to this partnership, your funds are protected up to 100,000 EUR by the French Guarantee Fund, giving you security and peace of mind in every transaction you make.
1. Create your Holded Wallet account
To create your Holded Wallet account, follow these steps:
☝🏼 You need to have an active Holded account in order to create your Wallet account.
Go to Treasury > Accounts from the sidebar.
Click the “Add Account” button in the upper right corner.
Select “Holded Wallet” as the account type.
Click “Activate your account”. This will take you to the page of our partner Swan, who holds the e-money license and is regulated to manage your funds securely.
Follow the instructions provided in the registration process to complete your registration.
Key points of registration with Swan
Legal representative: the person who completes the registration will be considered the legal representative of the Wallet account.
Documentation: Be sure to provide all required information and documents to expedite the opening. If anything is missing, an agent will contact you by email.
End of registration: don't forget to click “Finish” to successfully complete the process.
Verification by phone: at the end of registration, you will be asked to enter a cell phone number. This step adds extra security (2FA authentication) and will be required for sensitive operations in the future.
Once you complete the Swan registration, wait for your documentation and identity verification to be accepted. When this happens, your account will be active and you will receive an IBAN number. From there, you will be able to easily view and manage everything from our platform, transfer money from another bank to debit your account and start trading as with any bank account.
2. Make a transfer
☝🏼 Please note that you need a balance in your account to be able to make transfers.
To make a transfer from your Holded Wallet account, follow these steps:
Go to Treasury > Accounts from the sidebar of your Holded account.
Click on your Holded Wallet account to access it.
Click on the “Make Transfer” button in the upper right corner.
Enter the name of the beneficiary, the IBAN of the destination account, the amount, and a description (required). Then click “Next”.
☝🏼 Please note that transfers are currently limited to domestic destinations.
Review all the details of the transaction and click “Confirm”.
You will receive an SMS on your cell phone with a link. Click on that link.
Check the transfer details again and click “Confirm”.
The transfer will be made from your Holded Wallet account to the indicated account. Please note that it may take 24-48 hours to arrive, depending on the destination bank.
3. Reconcile movements
You can reconcile the movements of your Holded Wallet account directly from the platform, in the same way as you would with any other bank account you have added to Holded. For more information on how to perform the reconciliation, see the specific guide here.
4. Download the statement of transactions
To download the transaction statement for your Holded Wallet account, follow these steps:
Go to Treasury > Accounts from the sidebar of your Holded account.
Access the account for which you want to download the statement.
Click on the three dots menu in the top right corner, and click on “Download transaction statement”.
This will download an Excel file that you can review and use to keep more detailed track of your transactions.
