When it comes to managing a company and its data, every precaution is too little, so choosing a provider that has the best cloud computing services and all the legal and cybersecurity guarantees is one of the best investments to get the most out of your business.

Where does Holded store the information?

Holded works with the Google cloud, one of the most secure spaces on the web, which shares space with applications that are widely used such as Gmail or Google Maps. There are many large multinational companies that, like Holded, also work with the Google cloud.

How does the Google Cloud work?

The Google Cloud provides security through layers that form a good defense system. In addition, it encrypts both data in transit from its servers and data at rest, i.e. data stored on a disk or in a backup. This means that authorized services can only access it with audited access to the encryption keys.

Where are the servers used by Holded located?

The data that users enter in Holded is hosted on Google servers in the European Union, thus ensuring both data hosting regulations and the highest levels of security and accessibility on the market.

Does Holded comply with data protection regulations?

Holded's cloud computing services comply with all European regulations regarding RGPD (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, of April 27, 2016, General Data Protection), thus guaranteeing both the regulations on data hosting and the highest levels of security, accessibility and protection of information.

In addition, Holded Technologies S.L is duly registered with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, thus complying with current national regulations on confidentiality and security of confidential data.

How Holded backs up your information?

At Holded we protect the confidentiality and information of our customers and suppliers, performing regular backups that comply with the Organic Law on Data Protection (LOPD).

The advantage of external storage in Google Cloud is that, in case of theft, fire or catastrophe, your backups remain safe in a different place from where your servers are located, guaranteeing in a much more effective way the possibility of restoration.

How often does Holded perform backups?

According to article 94.1 of the Royal Decree 1720/2007, which approves the Regulation of development of the Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the protection of personal data:

  1. Backups of the information must be performed at least 1 time per week.

  2. It is mandatory to ensure that data can be restored to the previous time, in case of data loss.

However, Holded is not limited to one copy per week, but a copy is made every day, every week, and every month. That way, in the event of a data outage, only the information from the last four hours could be lost.

Can Holded recover the information that I have deleted by mistake?

Backups are not client copies. Therefore, it is important to keep in mind that it is only possible to restore data in the event of a service failure or catastrophe. But it is not possible to recover copies of previous days in case of human error.

We recommend that you frequently export from Holded to Excel the sensitive or relevant information that you want to make your own periodic backups.
